Summer Haircuts for Pets
Greetings, Humans. Intern Penelope back to educate you on summer haircuts. Do it?… Don’t do it? I have the answers. In short, it depends on your perfect pooch or fancy feline. In general, dogs to not need their fur to be cut or shaved. If there are some maintenance or toileting issues that make grooming necessary, do as little as possible. A dog’s coat is meant to protect their thin skin from heat, sun, wind, and cold, so let them keep their fur! For indoor long-haired cats, grooming can be done safely because they are not exposed to the elements. As always, when in doubt, discuss grooming with a trusted veterinarian.
